For the Homeowner
Hardwood flooring is often the most eye catching and beautiful component in a new or existing home. It can also be the most expensive investment made in a renovation project. You may have had hardwood flooring as an upgrade in your newly constructed home, a new installation in your existing home or perhaps you recently had some hardwood floor refinishing done. Whatever the project, when there is a problem with the performance of your hardwood floor, you will want to find a solution quickly. In order to do that, you will need to have access to accurate information from the most reliable possible sources. You will also want to know that the information that you receive will correctly identify the causes of these problems.
Elliott & Associates will perform a site inspection followed by a confidential, detailed inspection report. We will employ all of the guidelines established by the hardwood flooring industry through the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) to determine the cause of the failure. These rules apply to Jobsite Preparation, Grading, Installation, Sanding and Finishing and Maintenance.
It is important to point out that the NWFA is recognized as the industry’s watchdog and highly regarded by wood flooring professionals throughout North America. Most of your current domestic suppliers are also members of the association. NWFA standards and guidelines are the hardwood flooring industry’s benchmarks for the proper installation and maintenance of wood floors.
